IN WHICH I TAKE ADVANTAGE OF BAD WEATHER
It's been kinda crap here all day. Cold and rainy. Since I had no need to leave my home, I didn't bother. Instead, I've spent much of the past few hours (interrupted by a phone call and the occasional Youtube video) working on my latest story.
The working title is Reconciliation, but I'll probably change it. I wrote the prologue yesterday and am satisfied with it. Today I decided to tackle what should be the most difficult conversation – Sunset vs. Rainbow Dash. Why do the toughest first? Because I hate myself. Anywho, Dashie already isn't coming off nearly as much of an asshole as Flash did. She's still a rainbow douche, don't get me wrong, but at least Sunset didn't have to show her scars to get her to listen. Instead, Sunset tells her a story that she can understand to try and get her to empathize. I'm a bit concerned that Sunset is being too talkative (as she'd been crying just a minute before) and that there may be a better way to get those two on the same page, but it's what I could come up with. I'll have to work with this a bit.
Rainbow Dash is the character I am least comfortable writing – she and Fluttershy are the only ones I haven't spent any head-time with, but, as parts of `Shy's personality mirror my own, I think she'll be easier to work with once I get to her chapter, which I'll probably do last. By contrast, I have ZERO in common with Dashie. Wish me luck.
Bonne chance!
