Army veteran and fellow Brony needs help! Let's fund his gofundme campaign to get a new home! · 4:07am Dec 6th, 2016
Howdy Bronies!
I need your help keeping an Army veteran and his family off the streets, and in a home this holiday season.
My friend, DM, and fellow Brony Jason Arana has been facing some rough times recently. Around Thanksgiving he was fired due to budgetary reasons, and about a week ago, he was told to pack up his family of seven and move out no later than January 1st.
As you can imagine, this will be an awful time for his children, and this holiday will likely forever stand out as the worst one in their memories. Especially his three kids that are in grade school.
He has started a GoFundMe campaign to help him raise $3000 for the deposit and rent for the first few month for his next home. Between his friends, they were able to contribute $640. Unfortunately, the contributions have stalled.
What I need you all to do, is to contribute some money to his campaign and spread the word around, so he can reach his goal.
I say we go a step further and break past the goal to help him with rent for more than the first three months, and show his family that there are still good people in this world. Between us all in this group and the community at large, I believe we can give his kids the gift of a warm house to stay in this Christmas and New Year’s.
If you go down to the donations, you will see that I have already put my money where my mouth is. Every little bit helps. Even if you can only afford to give him $1, that will still help reach his goal.
If you donate, then I ask you to put in the note that you are a Brony, so everyone will know who is making it rain (rain as in money, not pegasi dicking around with clouds
). Doing so will also give the fandom some positive publicity on that site. This will also show his only daughter (his youngest kid and big ol’ fan of Twilight Sparkle), that turning to your friends in your hour of need, can produce magical results!
If you decide to go and contribute, even a little, then you are a gentleman/lady and a scholar, as well as a credit to the fandom!
