I'm going to level with you all. This story is going to be different than my usual fare. It's going to take place almost exclusively in Equestria, but we will see SciTwi and have some portal crossing by the Human 6. That's going to be fun designing their pony forms since due to logic put in place WAAAAAAY back in Homecoming, their magic and lives have diverged enough to warrant different looks and cutie marks just as Sunshine did. I'll likely be discussing nicknames and such for them with my proofers.
And here is the warning aspect of the story. I am building up towards an actual skirmish with the villain in the terms of squadrons. The Wonderbolts are going to be mobilized, as will units of the EUP and the Crystal Guard. This is not going to be pretty, this will not be cute and light beyond the occasional quip from one of the cast, and this is going to show the depths that a villain believing herself to be in the right will go to for their belief.
There is a reason I linked that opening sequence in the other blog. War may well descend Equestria and even the Two Sisters may walk into battle. And THEY are going to be fun to design. Battles and world building in terms of what is and, more importantly, what isn't possible through Equestrian magic.
As a matter of fact, I haven't really touched that before. This will be fun....
