Holy blap, if this thing came with the Magical Quest games, this would freaking be my childhood and all the cool stuff I only drooled at over at friends' houses in a box.

And Star Fox 2? Now that's interesting. I mean, it's been floating around the web for ages, but I never thought I'd see Nintendo actually use the code for anything other then coasters around the office. :raritystarry:

I have to admit the game list of the NES-Mini left me utterly lukewarm, and then it became like a million-billion bux a pop because Nintendo made twelve of the thing, but this just might be a day-one purchase for me.

As someone who buys and sells old video games systems including the SNES, it will be interesting to see if that grouping of games makes people more likely to go out and buy a real SNES for the missing games, or if it is enough to sate people. The NES Classic was missing enough games to make a spike in the market rather than a lull, although it is weakening a bit.

I think i just might buy one. Ah secret of mana, zelda, AND mario rpg.... good times.

ZSNES has been a thing for decades, guys.

Eh, true.

Still, there's not only a thrill to actually owning stuff like this, but some of these games are both very rare and thus freaking expensive to emulate legally.

That, but some of these games are also notoriously hard to emulate 100% properly without graphic and sound glitches

Earthbound in particular being both of those, and have one of the meanest anti-piracy counters in the history of gaming to boot.

Personally I think that combo (and a sleek package) is worth what's roughly a new game + season pass to play so many classics in as close to as they were at launch as I'll get without a time-machine, but I'll respect anybody that disagrees.
