I think I'm making progress on the story now. I've actually got an idea for what happens next: the final length of track on this stretch of railroad. And while I'm at it, that gets me to thinking: there's a lot of stuff I didn't cover in The Early Life of Blueblood, stuff like Blueblood at prom, Cadance's friends coming to meet her at Canterlot, Blueblood's career. Now granted, these ideas came after I tried to get one chapter a month out of the story and I was trying to go in order. However, now that I have the time, I'd love to go and put them in. After I get this done, of course.
And here's where I must make a confession: I get distracted really easily and I get demoralized really easily. If I get writer's block, I stop early and move on to something else, and since I have a lot of computer games I just got on sale, that can really grab my attention, especially when I remember the story, try to work on it, then run into writer's block again. This isn't fair to you to leave you hanging, and I'm sorry. However, I've had a stroke of inspiration and I've just got a few paragraphs into the last sequence I had to come up with, so that should hopefully keep me going for a little while, and I hope I can continue while I'm watching the superfluous parts of instructional videos tomorrow.
In the real world, I'm continuing my work on getting my A+ certification. It turns out I already know a bunch of this stuff. Still, one section down, eight to go for the whole test. And hopefully the job I was offered and completed a drug test for will actually get back to me tomorrow. I've also got a doctor's appointment for a very itchy skin condition I have. Hopefully I don't run out of medicine for a while now. Fun tip: psoriasis in the right places is maddening.
So, yeah, that's what I got this week. Hopefully, now that I have an outline I like, I'll start moving quicker on Blueblood's little romance with Twilight. And hopefully I'll have a paying, permanent job. Good luck to all of you.
