Title says it all. I've been working on a side story to Soldier of the Night over the past couple of months and I'm so excited to share it with you all once the first chapter is done. I haven't got a set release date for it but keep a look out in the coming weeks, I think this will really help ease me back into writing
Hey everyone, I'm just chiming in to give you a quick update on SoTN and its future since I feel like one's long overdue. For the most part, this is just going to be a rehash of my most recent comment on the story but as promised I'm also going to include a list of chapters slated for reworking.
I don't get why all the drama over it. A whole lot of people in this fandom need to get a grip.
Other than the fact it was poorly written, The end was craptastic, and the only redeeming factor was the song in it. It really was the 2nd worst done episode in the history of the show (only outdone by the whole pinkie pie mirror pool crap)
4632901 They sure do by the looks of it. I'll be honest with you, I've never really seen people get that triggered by an episode of a children's TV show about colorful ponies before.
4632901 From what I can tell this particular episode seems to be an allegory of sorts for the negative aspects of fandom in general, which is quite an interesting topic to contend with considering the sheer size of the MLP fandom. If its subject matter offends you in any way there's a good chance you're probably one of those people it's calling out.
4632912 I just thought the writing was sub par, the subject matter really didn't matter to me. It was the flow of it, coming off the INCREDIBLE episode that "Perfect Pear" was...this was a massive letdown.

4632931 Yeah, I'm sure that it'd have been a better episode had they decided to tackle the subject matter any differently than they did.
