I'm going to be honest with you. A Peter Rabbit movie could be done right tons of ways, and it can't be hard to do most of the time. If Disney did this, it would have been done right. If Warner Bros. did this, it would have been done right. If Universal did this, it would have been done right. If 20th Century Fox did this, it would have been done right.
Only Sony could fuck it up so badly. Only Sony.
In all fairness, as is often the case with Sony, the trailer is probably worse than the actual movie. But if that's what they dished out for the trailer, it's either more unfinished than anybody admits, or it's a terribly average movie. Even Universal could have coughed up a better trailer and also an above-average movie, completed exactly on schedule.
Again, even on these more nuanced fronts, only Sony could fuck it up so badly. Only Sony.

I hate to be the horrid one but, yeah this looks atrocious.
But what can you expect from a company who insulted an entire fanbase just for not liking what a trailer had to offer (in the end still being a horrible movie that shouldn't have been made in the first place) and from a company who got rid of a movie idea about a famous old cartoon character for something about emojis on a phone?
... Think about that.
