A Wild Hiatus Appears! · 9:12pm Nov 14th, 2017
It's not as bad as it sounds! Really, it isn't! Please just read this, and you'll know exactly what's happening. You're probably freaking out as to why, I, an author who updates like a fucking madman is announcing that there is going to be a hiatus of any kind, and what exactly it covers in my writing, and of course, to when it will end.
You feel confused, anxious, slightly worried, vaguely bored, and wonder about the state of things. Maybe you even ponder eating a sandwich. Such is human nature.
But do you notice only one story is tagged? Yes, it is my new novel, Enemy of Mine. If you haven't read it yet, that's a good idea. But you should really read this first.
Enemy of Mine, and only EoM (I shouldn't have to put what that fucking stands for) is going on a brief hiatus, which, (no shit) means that it won't be updating for a little while. Not a year, or some crazy amount of time. Hold your goddamn horses. It's for reasons related to editing, and there's also a slim possibility that it has to do with the author going fucking insane over the prospect of writing a story where most of the chapters are going to be around 10k average, due to how the story was outlined and why there's not going to be smaller chapters. It might have to do with that too.
But will I still be working on the story? Yes, I will, and quite often. It just won't update. But maybe I should say a thing or two about what EoM looks like. EoM is made up of seven chapters and seven interludes. All but one interlude is written and ready to publish when needed (i.e. when their companion chapters are done) and each interlude covers a different character. Each chapter is what's going to be about 10k, not the interludes. I am currently writing chapter three, and have 7k done already. It's not a problem. Now, the four loyal readers, sock, and reanimated corpse of an inchworm who loyally follow my Iceverse stories, you are wondering if there will be anything new coming out involving the Iceverse.
My answer?
Probably, most likely, I dunno, eventually, and yes.
I have some longer one shots ready to be written and other ideas I can work on until then.
