Featured & Theme Music! · 11:08pm Feb 1st, 2018

Hey guys!

So I got a couple bits of big news related to Ponyville Noire.

First of all, I recently commissioned a very talented musical artist by the name of The L-Train to do a theme song for Noire. He just pulled through and posted it last night! Check it out here!

Also, Noire got featured last week! I was incredibly surprised and grateful to find that my story was loved that much! Thank you all so much for your support!

On to other news...

Noire is still on schedule, and I'm also pleased to say that Song of Ponyville is also coming along nicely, better than I had initially thought.

Letters from the Homefront has momentarily paused while I regather myself. I'm considering reworking the written chapters to add more details outside of the letters by showing where the authors are and how they're feeling. This is a difficult genre to work with, I knew that when I started, and I'm grateful that it's been as well-received as it's been. The point of Letters was to show more detail to the history and background of the Noireverse, particularly the events of the oft-referred to Crystal War and where things stand now, not to mention some headcanons about the alicorns that will become relevant in the final arcs of Noire. I hope to implement these changes soon.

Cold Day in Frostback Prison has, unfortunately, stalled. Whenever I try to write more of it, I end up just dragging my metaphorical feet and only writing a few words. I could simply chalk it up to lack of interest, but I think the truth is, this story hits a little too close to home for me. I work as a corrections officer, and while that provides me with a perspective on what it's like to work in a prison that most people don't get, it's also not a really good thing to see. I am not a greatly cynical person, and by its own definition and setting, the story is deeply cynical. Bottom line: writing it is somewhat emotionally hard for me. I'm gonna keep trying for a bit longer: if it's not done by springtime, I'll just drop it entirely.

Thanks for your time, folks. I hope you're looking forward to more!

Josiah
