WRITING BREAK IS OVER: Here is Fluttercheer's List of Upcoming Stories! · 1:29am Feb 21st, 2018

Fillies and gentlecolts, I hereby announce the end of my break from writing, together with a list of my upcoming stories!
I had to extend my break a bit because I needed some more time to rest up, but now, thanks to soothing shows about ghosthunting (well, what my dark and twisted mind finds soothing, at least ), binge-watching Season 7, catching up on reading all official written MLP: FiM material that came out since October (minus the books the movie got, cause I still don't have them, but Gilded Lily is best nerdy filly!!!!!), an evening of fic reading and an evening of watching the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Movie, I'm officially recovered! Now I'm back in the writing game!

And now that this enthusiastic outburst is out of the way, let's get to the important part of this blog entry, the aforementioned upcoming stories list!
Revealing future fic projects like this is not something I normally do, but after the last year and its disastrous effects on my writing output, I have the urge to inform about what fics I'll be writing next.
Let's not delay this any further, cause my hooves burn, they want to write! Look below for a list of the next five fics I'll be writing and a rough release schedule!*

*The release dates below are rough estimations. Depending on unforeseen circumstances, such as me getting more ideas than I initially had and extending the length of the story with them or me needing more time to fix flaws and errors during editing, the day of release might be up to a week later, in which case I will write a blog entry to inform about the delay.

Fluttercheer's List of Upcoming Stories
Please, do not pay attention to the formatting bugs. knighty left the terrarium open again and now they found their way here, but they are really harmless and just want love!

1. The Sun Still Shines

This is the fic I mentioned a few times already, the one I started writing in the mid of December, but couldn't finish due to apartment searching and moving work. But now that this is all over, I will continue it! It's also the fic that I took over from Vanilla Mocha at the end of 2016 because she stopped writing pony fiction and gave away her unwritten fics.
It's a Scootaloo & Rainbow Dash story, where Rainbow Dash comes to Scootaloo to comfort her little sister when she has to face a problem of huge dimensions, which is a fic idea I just couldn't pass up on, because one simply does not let a ScootaDash fic go to waste.
A short story, but you can expect a ton of feels in this one!

2. "The Next Generation" Contest Entry

Yes, I will participate in GaPJaxie's Next Generation Contest, too. Shocking, isn't it? But don't worry. I won't stop writing ponyfics. That's something I would never do. I'm an author who will carry the Equestrian flag to the grave.
I won't tell here what I'm going to write exactly, except that it fits the prompt "The Next Generation". Since this story is one I write for a contest, I want to keep the idea and plot a surprise until I release it. But even though the rule for this contest is to write original fiction, what I'm going to write will be something that you will still enjoy regardless. Trust me, you are still going to like my entry.
Naming an estimated release date is hard for this fic.
The maximum length it can have for the contest is 12,000 words, if I write this much, it will take me around 20 hours to finish the first draft. And I will still have plenty of time to improve it and polish it then, before I submit it to the contest, a process for which I can't tell how long it is going to take. I have time until March 12th to submit it.

Estimated Release Date: To comply with the contest rules and remain anonymous, this story will only get released once the contest is over and the winners are announced. (Released: April 11th)

3. One-shot fic for Tempest Shadow

Finally I can do this. My first fic for the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic Movie! This was supposed to happen a lot earlier, but thanks to moving stress and other remaining stress from my "eventful" last year, I just couldn't get to it. But now it's finally going to happen!
I can empathize a lot with Tempest Shadow, so much even that she is basically my soulmate (for reasons I yet have to detail in a review of the movie), which is why I immediately had two fic ideas for her when I saw the movie for the first time. There is also a third one by now, but these two will be written first.
This one-shot fic here will be about Tempest Shadow returning to her village to settle it with her "friends" from the past and what she has to tell them for abandoning her in her time of need.

4. Brown Sugar's fanfiction

This is another fic I talked about already. It has been a long time since I decided to write it and started brainstorming it, cause the obstacles 2017 threw at me made it hard to work on it. But this is also finally happening and I will soon pick it up and work on it again.
For this fic, I won't reveal the plot just yet. But there will be a series of blog entries once I'm done with planning and figuring out which characters should appear in it alongside Brown Sugar, in which I will go into detail about the characters, how they relate to Brown Sugar and what influence they have on her life.
Be prepared for a lot of underappreciated background ponies!

5. Multi-chapter fic for Tempest Shadow

And here is my second fic idea for Tempest Shadow. This time it's a multi-chapter fic about Tempest Shadow's past after she left her village, how she had to brave the world as a little filly and all alone, how she met Grubber and how she came to join the Storm King's army.
The number of chapters is not decided yet and I will probably keep writing as long as I can flesh it out more in a sensical way, but I think this idea allows for around twenty chapters.

Estimated Release Date of Chapter 1: ~~April 10th~~ Release Date moved to: June 1st (frequency of chapter updates will be decided once Chapter 1 is released and then announced in its own blog entry)

And this is all, for now. Season 8 is also approaching fast and I will write my fair share of fics for it too, but for now, this is the plan for the next month and a half.
I seriously can't wait to write new stories.
