That's practically Ready Player One in a nutshell... kinda... ok, I won't go into spoiler territory, but this is a movie you should ALL Definitely go and see! No, really, go and see it! I know most are thinking that is just fueled by nostalgia, and in many retrospects, it does, but you'll be very surprised at how there is a good story about an underdog going against the big business that are kind like EA, only with more power (If you can believe that). While you may not remember the characters that well, believe me, you'll see why. And yes, the spectacles are amazing! The only complaint I had was that you need to rewatch the movie multiple times to see all the Easter eggs, and even then, you won't see any of the characters you want to see.
And if any of you ask, there's no Ugandan Knuckles in the movie! Let that be a January meme for VR Chat!
The only thing keeping me from watching this movie is that I fear it will have the same message as SAO, video games qre just as important as real life, which I cannot get behind.
Please tell me the movie does not teach this lesson.
Also,I heard there was supposed to be a RWBY reference in there.

Yes, Ruby herself and Crimson Rose is supposed to be in there. Also, to be concerned about the message... well, what you learn in the end of the movie is nothing regarding that.
What I can say though is that some of the things that are from the book are different here with the movie. Including the three original challenges. But I believe you should still give it a chance anyways to see how you would like it.

I meant SAO's approach in the way that says, your online relationships are just as valid as the ones in real life, your avatar is just another you, it doesn't matter if you never go out and neglect your friends, family and health, because you meet people online and your avatar is hot.
