Nice pick-me-up after the last day or two.

Got home after air traveling for 2 and a half weeks. Car won't move. Got it going by rocking back and forth, dragging the frozen tire(s). Later found out that the humidity had caused dirt and crud to harden in the brake drums and all I really had to do was pump the brakes and parking brake a bunch to loosen them again. Took it in as a precaution and got told needed new spark plugs and tie rods (and alignment). Not hugely expensive as far as servicings go, but out of the blue and caught me by surprise. Barely a month after replacing the exhaust, too.

I believe this would technically qualify as a boop due to how said ticket was applied.
The officer in question should have used better judgement in applying the ticket so as to avoid self fining.

I have a feeling that when I eventually move my Impala, the brakes are going to stick. Suburban had one dragging brake, and that’ll have to be addressed before it can go back on the road (but it’s currently not licensed, so that’s not an issue). My old blue van has done that on occasion when it’s rainy . . . stupid drum brakes.

Always sucks when the mechanic finds things that need to be replaced you didn’t know about, but that’s always better than discovering the problem after it breaks. Just fixed a Rogue that had the serpentine belt break while they were driving it because it was so old . . . so add to the repair (which we’d recommended before) a tow bill and an unexpected couple of days without the car. . . .

It's a handy little thing. Apparently Tumblr doesn't do that blocking idiocy for the Google indexing bot, so everything still gets properly put on Google. The plugin takes advantage of that that by making your browser pretend to be the google bot
