New Chapter Underway · 3:54pm Aug 5th, 2018
Hey guys. I had a briliant idea.
I'm going to merge my stories together. Even those that aren't on fimfiction.
One thing you've got to know, in my universe, i'm trying to show that everyone, no matter which era, is connected. By having similar fates, by having similar backgrounds. Just look at Starswirl and Twilight. Lived in whole different eras. Even, for a while, in different universes! Different Dimensions! They still got together in a season finalee. Still saved the world together.
While nothing can stop heroes from teaming up... They can, however, be defeated. Take Discord for exemple. For all the power he had, one little misinterpretation, one litle mistake, and he lets himself get shot by the elements of harmony. Hope my point got across my PC screen, or else you might get confused in the future.
Lux Lucet was a Human, like Orpheus Apokryfes. Lux came from the suburbs of some high-tech city: he was studying medecinal sciences... By pressing buttons on a computer screen.
That is why he is so confused by the chemical reaction's names he sees. He does remember his time on earth; but he couldn't understand the universal language of ''you're getting tired'' or ''you're happy''.
That is, somewhat, the same fate as Silver's. He doesn't get literal cues like serotonin injections or dopamine levels, he can't feel his own emotions, but he understand the concept of Happiness and Freedom. Just like you do; but, tell me, can you describe them to a 5 year old? Is his description going to match yours? In what way your perspective, your life output, will change? Will it change?
Do you know the Ilha Das Flores? a 1989 film made by the casa of cinema of some under-developped country. If you do not know what it is, it's a good 13 minutes video that will do exactly what i'm trying to prove.
Spoilers for Ilha Das Flores. This old island used to be inhabited by free people. Black lives matter, ain't right? Anyways. The movie tells you about this wonderful island... Misnamed. There are no flowers on this island. There is only garbage.
What's worse? The humans living there are under pigs in the hierarchy. When the organic wastes comes in, the owner of them pigs feeds them with the trash, then lets people in groups of 10 to collect some little, measly food, that even the pig didn't consider 'healthy' for his own family.
They have only 5 minutes to gather the day's food. Then, they walk around on huge piles of trash, looking for either more food or some usable stuff. To repair their thrash homes.
The water there used to be pure. Now it's thicker than mud, thanks to the trash. Hope your outlook on life changed a bit.
Anyways. Hope that this will bring my point accross. Wherever we live, wherever we grew up; whatever family name you bear, and whatever clothes you wear. What makes you better, or worse, than pigs or non-sentient creatures? Is it your money? Your blue blood? the fact you were born an american citizen? An African out on madagascar island?
How much does all that impact the way you can define your own happiness? Will you be sad if you live like a poor dirtbag, but are free to smoke your drugs? Would you want such a life, of hunger, anger and self-loathing? Do you prefer your laws and the overcharged rent of your miniscule apartment? Or your spacious, exquisite, but empty manor?
Are others, relationships and the like, what makes you happy? does it come from you?
Well, now you've got a better idea on my writing style. I keep character's perspectives in mind. The way they see their lives has an impact on their successes. On their mood. On their peace of mind... And for a pony, carefree as they can be... Being unhappy often results in suicide, or self-exile. No one likes to bring other people down with their social awkwardness. Even your best friends.
