Lore of the Shadow King · 10:05am Aug 22nd, 2018
For one thousand years, Equestria has been at peace. Though monsters and threats do sometimes arise, they're typically dispatched in short order, and life goes on. However, several ancient texts and obscure prophecies indicate that this was not always so... and may not always be.
------------------------------------
Equestria, her hills of gold
In dark and mournful times of old
Did once, a hopeless horror hold.
When from her darkest depths did spring
With roar and crash, a monstrous thing!
His name: Grogar, the Shadow King.
His shadows swept across the land
And none who dared and fought could stand
Against the tyrant's dark command.
Four students guarded his domain
As cruel enforcers of his reign.
The ponies wept, their hearts in chains.
But light shone forth, and he was gone
His darkness banished by the dawn
The shadow slept beneath Tambelon.
But by one student, he was not forsaken.
And by terran magic, he shall awaken.
When Tambelon's bells once again ring,
So returns the Shadow King.
------------------------------------
When darkness falls and you hear his knell,
fear the goat who wears a bell.
------------------------------------
Beware the dark, beware the cold,
they herald evil centuries old.
Wherever these three fell winds blow,
none escape the King of Shadow.
------------------------------------
A city of evil, sin, and pain
Remnant of a dark king's reign.
Wreathed in shadow day and night
Its hallways spurn the hated light.
Some say within, treasure awaits,
But all are lost who cross its gates.
Though the reign of shadow is long bygone,
Seek not the secrets of Tambelon.
------------------------------------
The Morning Star shall light his way
His students shall rally to obey
Moon and Sun shall be his prey
Gods and titans he shall slay.
When Grogar's prison falls away,
Two worlds shall face their dying day.

two worlds face their dying day, sounds like Grogar isn't playing this time.
