Small bout of writers block can produce interesting results · 3:59am Sep 1st, 2018
So, I kind of burned out a bit writing Empress Returns, going through a slower patch before The Jaws of Cetus reaches its climax. In an effort to get something on paper, I began spitballing some ideas on how Sunset Shimmer would end up in the 45th Millenium of Empress Returns.
Spitballing has since blossomed into nearly 1,500 words of Sunset metaphorically rolling snake eyes on a psychic test and suffering a bad case of Perils of the Warp, along with a future of dying and rediscovering herself. It's quite rough right now, but maybe some refining can make it better.
Probably won't come to anything, but it's just what I've been working on today while I wait for ideas for the main story to come in.
Could be interesting. Wonder what Celesempress's reaction would be....
She's also a devout follower of Tzeentch as she's got plans within plans.
I have been wondering what happened to Sunset, if she was ever in this universe in the first place.
Ooh interesting. Might be a nice smaller side story.
4929413 That's what it's shaping up to be; a shorter story about Sunset's own journey in the 45th Millenia. Granted, shorter for me could still be quite long, but it's not going to be as long as God Empress or Empress Returns.
Best of luck with the writer's block, but no rush. We've all been there.
Ooh, that is the best thing. When you ask yourself, "how could this happen?" and it just keeps going and going. I hope to see the fruits of your inspiration, 'twould be the most unusual way Celestia and Sunset have ever reunited! I can just see the two of them running into each other way out in the middle of wherever, staring at each other, and then, in stereo, yelling "what are you doing here?"
That sounds neat. Interested in seeing what you come up with.
Sounds like an interesting story idea, not sure if you will fallow this but, on theory with 40k I have heard is that the emperor is basically a chaos god. And that he could resurrect himself (like the chaos gods can) if his physical body was to die. This also has to do with Cypher, as it is believed he will be the one to do it.
Just more food for thought on never ending tangents...
