Something wrong in this world. Fundamentally. · 11:46pm Dec 15th, 2018

I know, this is very unpopular idea among humans, writers or otherwise. But I come to conclusions something is really wrong about this human-dominated world, because humans today, like few thousands years ago, when they first started to realize (some of them) they can't properly resist their own wrongs, still can't! They can't even recognize something wrong about to be done by humans 'like them', and even less can do something effective about this! Thus stories with assumption this world is OK(ish) actually make me more angry! I realize there is special genre about blending everyday life and some(one) magical. Yet, for me those stories, even very good ones, leave very sad afterthoughts - because (even if their authors were not intending this!) they sort of lead to conclusion even whole magical universe (!) will be unable to change something fundamental, something humans were unable to change for themselves (literally) over very long period of time .. Ponies assimilated into _wrong_ kind of the world sounds even worse than real-world humans assimilating today into same wrong kind of world!

Of course, there are different series, like 'ponies after people', yet they not filling me with sense of rightness, too ..:/ May be because I can't feel humans really understand roots of their situation. Like, what is empathy, and can one be trained? Why our 'education' and childrising produces so awfully manipulatable individuals and groups? Why we systematically prefer 'optimistic' {over realistic} world-view and self-view? Of course, with at least some version of ponies all those questions become moot because magic. But still, everyone will be living in dynamic world, where you can't create fixed list of good vs bad things and actions and just live by it - some humans tried with quite catastrophic results! So, how to differenciate truely good things from obviously and subtly-bad ones? How to rise 'right kind of wolf'?

Speaking about wolves ....
IMG(ine) this ... (actually copying from FB - even if I don't want to call myself animal activist anymore - I come to those 'bigger than narrowly-defined humans' lines of thinking on my own and due to my own life - so, I don't want to drop it, because they still part of me)

This trapper terrorizes and mocks the animals she traps before slaughtering and skinning them.

Here she is, standing behind a shackled and terrified innocent, giving her best smile before extinguishing its life.

I dunno if image will survive for any significant amount of time, but for today and may be tomorrow ...

Again, problem seems to be not in those _obvious_ cases, but in way we (non)think and (non)act in general, like this everpresent and not going away 'horseriding' thing .... or dolphinariums ..or human-to-human exploitation ...
