HAHcon 2019 · 3:28am Mar 4th, 2019
Hey everyone! It's been forever since I wrote a blog post, and since I actually have something MLP related, I thought why not make an entry.
So yesterday was HAHcon. For those unaware of what that is, it is: "Horses At Home Con" and is basically an online MLP convention that gets held yearly. People from around the fandom host panels via live-stream on places like YouTube and Twitch. Prizes are offered and all kinds of fun can be had. This was my first year "in attendance" and while I was on and off the con throughout the day, I can say had a great deal of fun. And even though it's over, anyone that missed can certainly check out the streams. I believe a lot of the panels are kept up so people can check them out. Below is a link to the site:
But I'm also writing this to give a huge shout-out to NevyNevaylin. He was one of the panelists this year (and I don't believe it was his first year). The guy is an incredible artist who spent roughly eight hours doing free sketches for people. He randomly picked OCs and drew amazing sketches. The guy is very talented and you should check him out below if you're not familiar with him.
Anyway, I was one of the lucky few who got my OC picked to be drawn. Now technically, I haven't used my OC in any stories, but really should now that Nevaylin took the time to do a sketch of the pony. My OC is the one pictured on my profile, the fairly generic grey pegasus with glasses, no cutie mark, and a brown mane and tail. Name is Shadow Sprint as per my user name here. Originally I intended the OC to be a boy, but was mistaken for a girl during the sketching of Shadow Sprint. So I might actually make Shadow Sprint a girl because I'd be completely fine with that. But I'm really thrilled and thankful that my OC was one of the ponies that got drawn out of more than 60 that were submitted. So thank you so much Nevaylin and to the people behind HAHcon. His sketches are up on his twitter and Shadow sprint is the one reading the Daring Do book.
Anyways, thank you everyone for reading! I'm currently between a couple projects right now and am still kind of debating what MLP story I want to do next. I have a few ideas, but am not entirely certain which one I'll do. I might dabble back in romance a bit, maybe with some comedy. Something a bit more lighthearted would be a nice change of pace compared to my last big story. So thanks for all the follows, views, comments, everything! And thanks to the people behind HAHcon that made that so awesome and if any of readers were there, I hope you guys and gals had a good time too.
