Happy Birthday Madeline Peters (And Happy Early Birthday Ashliegh Ball) · 3:15pm Mar 30th, 2019
I'm posting this before it inevitably gets lost in the shuffle of the new Equestria Girls special coming out today. Today is Madeline Peters' birthday, and by now you should all know that she is the talented young woman who voices Scootaloo. Apparently, she moved to the United States recently, which is why a new voice actor filled in for her as Scootaloo's singing voice in "Your Heart is in Two Places".
And of course, tomorrow is Ashliegh Ball's birthday. In addition to voicing Rainbow Dash and Applejack, she has voiced a variety of other characters, including Lyra Heartstrings and Blythe Baxter from the 2012 Littlest Pet Shop cartoon. And she is part of the Indie Rock Group that is "Hey Ocean".
Considering Season 8 gave us "The Washouts" which brought new developments to Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash's relationship and bond, it doesn't seem like there's much left for them to do in this final season. Scootaloo has stepped out of Rainbow's shadow and Rainbow is a full fledged Wonderbolt. The best I can hope for is that we finally get some elaboration on Scootaloo's family, even if it's nothing like my headcanons.
Happy birthday to you, Madeline. And happy early birthday to you, Ashliegh Ball. Here's to hoping you'll both go out with a bang in the final season.
