Hey, how's it going? Sure has been a very long time since I blogged about anything, and a whole lot's happened for me in the intervening time. Wrote and published some stories, traveled to places like Denmark and Momocon, met and shook hands with Suda51 (also kinda alluded Death By Dragon to him, so great!), flipped out over the latest Godzilla movie, and really getting into tea drinking. This post is mainly to touch base and let you know I'm still alive so I won't get into all of that, though I can stick around and type up some things.
So, final season of pony. Winding down to the end slowly—very slowly—but surely. Been reading mixed opinions on these episodes from the posts made on the front page, though that's usually the case with every new episode dropping. For me, I still haven't finished season eight. Honestly don't know if I'll ever get around to watching it. I'm more or less over ponies at this point, although people still continue to write fanfiction for it. Plenty of it derivative as all hell from what I can surmise, but some that actually do interesting things, like that one featured story about unemployable Cutie Marks. Stories that explore those unspoken aspects of the show are definitely worth some merit. Heh, pretty rich coming from the guy who's posted stories involving Disgaea and DoDonPachi.
But for those of you looking for something to read that's not pony or entire novels, there's always my modest collection of original stories. I always love getting feedback/comments, and it's been a long time since I made a plug for myself. And that's about all I have to say for now. All of you take care, and have yourselves a good day.
