Progress Report,
The foolish Hero of Light came to Stableton today with, of all things, his FAMILY! How exactly he found his way here from the Winsome Falls is beyond me! Now that he knows about my hometown, I really should do away with him. It would be a simple matter to… no… no I want a fair fight! I want to be able to look back on our battle with pride one day! To remember the day I bested my greatest foe!
While I still believe Arc is an idiot for wasting time on “vacations” right now, I decided to invite him and his… family, inside for supper. If I were to get him talking, perhaps he would accidently tell me the real reason he’s out here! I was originally going to tell him some fabricated story, but decided to tell the truth instead. What does it matter if he knows what happened here? It was so long ago, and can never be changed!
My hunch paid off! Arc’s filly friend, or daughter as he’s calling her, revealed another bit of her strange power! She appears to have some kind of… extreme perception! In the verbal exchange with Arc, she claims to have been taught these things by somepony! How one can teach something like that is beyond me! If we weren’t in a magical dead zone, I’d say it was some very advanced spell! But her horn hasn’t even flickered since coming here! This requires further investigation!
Dinky… ever since I met her at the orphanage, I could feel something special about her. Both her and Arc have great potential! While I would love to take both of their souls into Light’s Bane, I did make a promise not to. Besides… only a monster would murder an innocent filly.
I may indeed be a cold-blooded killer. But even I have standards!
Don’t be so quick to judge. Giving someone a second chance may surprise you!
