So, hey...I'm back from the dead.
I know a lot of things have changed around here but it genuinely warms my heart to see so many people carry on with their fics and so many users still active on the site and in the fandom at large even in the wake of the show coming to a close after its ten-year run. I don't know how long this will last for and whether what remains of the fandom is living on borrowed time, but what I do hope is that if Generation 5 ever comes around the fandom for that is equally as strong, and this site sticks around and simply adapts to that. Whatever happens next I'll be here, writing away at my life's work and hopefully completing it by February or March. I haven't watched MLP in so long and probably won't return to it but the show will always hold a very special place in my heart; it was a wonderful outlet for me and the lessons it taught will always ring true. I met a ton of great people through the fandom, and I've definitely come out of my shell thanks to this site in particular. I know that John (Thunderblast) has moved on from writing, but nothing between me and him has changed. We're still good friends and do keep in touch, and while knowing that he doesn't plan on continuing the Pegiverse does pain me I wish him all the best in his life and thank him for giving me the amazing opportunity to craft a fictional universe alongside him. If you find yourself reading this you're a fucking legend, man, thank you for everything and just know that you're like a brother to me.
With regards to SoTN and my plans for it, I haven't officially left writing though I have been tempted to move on from this on several occasions. It wasn't just writer's block and college for me that prevented me from successfully meeting self-imposed deadlines, I've been in kind of a bad place this past year but I'm doing much better now. I know from first-hand experience that writing is a difficult and laborious process, but giving my opinions on things and writing the occasional film review on my Facebook profile helped me realize just how rewarding it can be and reawakened my love for it. So yeah, I'll stick around for the time being and hope to complete SoTN in the coming months; I'll also try and rework certain chapters, thus filling in any plotholes and whatnot.
