Could I possibly have Covid-19? · 9:21pm Apr 9th, 2020

Health question: over the past few days, my nose/sinuses have been getting increasingly stuffy, to the point I had trouble sleeping last night and am now mostly breathing through my mouth. The rest of me feels completely fine. Is there any way this is Covid-19? I don’t have any chest pain or coughing or lung congestion at all. Normally I’d say I just have allergies or a sinus infection, things that hit me several times a year normally, but I figure given the coronavirus is going around it couldn’t hurt to make sure I’m not just having really weird symptoms of it.

Only a doctor can actually answer that for you, but I'd suggest you check the official pages that say what the symptoms are.

Random half-informed dudes on the internet are not going to enlighten you any.

You might have it. It sounds more likely it is something else, but it is reported many people have COVID-19 without showing symptons. Check the advice from your local authorities about what to to. Over here the advice is to self-isolate if you develop a continuous cough or high temperature.

What these people said. It’s certainly
not impossible but a fever is the hallmark symptom, and you don’t feel feverish? Probably just allergies or a cold but what do we know lol.

Do you have an underlying health condition? That's a risk factor.

Never self-diagnose, trust an expert

I have an example (I don't have COVID-19)

A few years ago, there was a chickenpox outbreak in my city, and around the time of my First Year BA final exams, I began to complain of headaches and mom noticed several red spots on my face and arms.

We thought it was chickenpox, but Mom insisted that we see a doctor. Turned out, I had measles and I got quarantined to my bedroom for two weeks and missed four papers.

According, to WebMD, you have stage IV cancer. Prepare to die yesterday.

But seriously, if you're worried, start monitoring your temperature. That's unfortunately the extent of my advice.

nasal congestion isn't a very common symptom at all, you might have something else like a flu or allergies

Not just the sinus issues but the lack of shortness of breathing and coughing probably means a no.

If you don't have a doctor, call an urgent care clinic and see if you can get an opinion. That's what I've heard is possible.

Those are not the symptoms.

This. You might have it regardless of whether you're actually showing symptoms, because COVID-19 has a worrying number of asymptomatic carriers.

I doubt you have it but self isolate anyways. I'm not a doctor so I cannot diagnose you, but frankly from my own personal experience that sounds like a sinus infection and not covid-19. Again, I suggest you self isolate for now. A stuffy nose has been reported from some covid 19 cases, but it's not common at all. It's actually quite rare. If you have a stuffy nose and no fever, you might just have a mild cold. Considering I'm saying it THREE TIMES, It's super important that you self isolate for the safety of others.
