Had to. Sorry. Would have wrote but just not in the mood. Got into it a little with my mom (for hours, so I wouldn't have found time to write anyway fun cause I was planning on doing a lot of stuff today) about the protests sweeping America right now. Completely opposite views so that is fun but whatever, I'll keep pushing on fighting stuff like that how and when I can while prioritizing my mental health. But yeah. Was glued to tv for a bit cause of it. I mean its a real bad time when the Northern states are just rioting. Not that I'm totally surprised. Just ugh, tired. But yeah, don't try to do political stuff on here, really try to keep that stuff scrubbed clean. Just had to mention that I found it odd that my state, totally in the middle of the country, without societal issues- supposedly since the governor is all about our nice image. No I'm not in Minnesota, but I'm close and its crazy to see all the stuff in the news. Also my state is on literal fire right now. My middle of the country, sleepy, corn filled state. Just on fire and in curfew. Like not joking we got riot gear and protesters and looters and stuff. A complete anomaly that my governor would be just miffed over cause it makes the "everyone's so nice here" narrative so fake right now.

Just funny to know that for some reason my state sleeps when a pandemic is on- since our governor "closed" the state. Supposedly. Technically she didn't. She just closed non essential businesses (my work, restaurants, etc. but didn't order a outright stay in place or mandatory masks for anywhere. So we still have that major issue going on. But she says she did and she really didn't do much to stop the spread compared to other states. But the moment a riot breaks out protesting, immediate action is taken. Partially its my county- but since the capital is there as well, well she probably signed off on it and will explain in detail how she condemns the protests or something cause they aren't nice. Whatever. I'm exhausted and all this stress from external factors is giving me a headache.

I will now end my political stuff and all that. Just had to get that off my chest cause I've spent time staying up cause my mom was all in my head about the scary looters and I was like "yeah, right. We don't live in the capitol. Which is totally rioting. And we have a curfew. (Which honestly knocks me out. A curfew. That's a step below, what, like martial law or something) And we'll be fine. Everyone who isn't as hardcore about it will have left already for their own houses. And the ones who aren't are focusing on the main part of town. Guess my police aren't terrible cause I've seen videos of the whole department standing with protesters.

Weird though. My mom is all about human life and stuff and yet there's this dichotomy where once personal property is involved, that almost seems more important to her which throws out a lot of my views of her philosophy. She lived through the 60s and the Rodney King riots of 92 and she still is all but personal property and those people are paid protester thugs. But no Taiwanese and South American protests mostly okay. Though she hates Communism with a passion. Understandable.

Back to work. I write to get my mind of things and I need it. Been on edge. Probably why my last chapter is both taking longer than the last and why it tonally shifted to a slightly darker take of what I had planned for chapter 2. Ugh, I separate my life, work, and free time as much as possible to keep me both sane and relaxed and to not impede any story for people who want to read the next chapter.
Shit my mom is an older version of that Karen meme. What is the older version of a Karen? Bethany? Sharon?
