First off, Away had a really lovely review from The Red Parade over at My Little Reviews & Feedback!
This is the second positive review I've had in quick succession from the group (which I highly recommend everypony join!), following on from the first ever review anywhere of Not Fade Away a couple of weeks back. It's always really nice to get good and thoughtful reviews - I mean, obviously it is! - but it feels even more special when a story didn't get a lot of views, or votes, or otherwise lacked attention. I don't think I can emphasise it strongly enough, honestly, just how much of an impact positive feedback has (for me at least). I can't speak for other writers here, but even seeing another upvote added, or getting a notification that someone added a story to a shelf, is still really special even after almost a year and a half on the site; reviews are a whole extra level of awesome, and that's why I always put them on the front page of the relevant story.
Talking about views (which I sort of was), Away is up past 300 now; I get that the premise of the story probably puts a lot of people off, together with the obvious parallels to the current pandemic, so I'll say again here what I said in the comments and author's note on the story: if you're still in isolation (or not!) and feeling alone, and just want someone to write to or chat on Discord or whatever, please feel free to contact me, I'll always listen.
What else? Well, I'm still (still!) working on Âme Câline, my Starlight and Trixie cuddle story, which should be finished any decade now. I've also had a bunch of other ideas for things, including the much-requested Dragon Lord Ember follow-up (and an idea from Freglz about a potential side story which would see my username becoming relevant again for the first time in a year), so... yeah, stay tuned, I guess. And most importantly, stay safe!
Thanks; you stay safe too. :)
And good luck with the writing!
Oh, I can't wait to see it!
