Chapter 5 Author's notes · 4:29pm Jul 20th, 2020

Since I was camping this weekend, I didn’t get to write the author’s notes right away, so here we go now (it’s also why I posted the chapter half a day late—I went to bed before I posted it)

Just like chapter 4, this was a big one. It originally was meant to be a short “they arrive in ND and meet some ponies there” chapter, but ended up being ~3 times as big as originally planned. Oops. At least that gave me the opportunity to double down on exposition.

“Author’s notes: Fun fact: I wasn’t a gun nut prior to writing this story, but it’s forced me to research so much about firearms that I’ve become obsessed with guns (to a small extent, I’m still more obsessed with writing dark stories about tiny horses).”
