Day 6: Nearly Nine Years Since I Joined the Fandom · 9:33pm Sep 23rd, 2020
Today, I followed my own advice from yesterday and, as a result, wrote nearly a thousand words. It was an enjoyable little scene to write, for a concept I'd been itching to put into practice, containing character elements which ended up surprising myself in delightful ways. Round Two goes to me! 
I love indulging in a good writing session, and yet I almost always dread starting one. Similar to my writeoff experiences, in fact: the best parts by far usually involved the actual writing (and occasionally some good conversations, on those occasions when I enjoyed any).
Hence I don't think this difficulty I'm experiencing is (purely) a personal issue. I suspect there's at least one social element causing this inconsistency. It'd be easy to say loneliness was the problem, except I'm often happiest and most comfortable working solo, or just being solitary generally (it's one of the reasons I remain largely unaffected by the coronavirus lockdown).
Hmm...
Also, this is my hundredth on-site blog post. Weird to think roughly a third of them were written this year when I've been here for nearly nine years (come December). Now there's a sobering thought.
What? I didn't have anything special planned, and I'm not posting massive blog entries all the time. Just when I've got the enthusiasm, which right now I definitely don't. Today wasn't perfect.

Also, I know the pain of needing to get the writing juices flowing.
And I relate heavily to the paradox of preferring the hermit life, whilst simultaneously requiring some form of contact, if only to use that contact to justify one's own isolationist tendencies.
