Series finale anniversary · 2:47am Oct 13th, 2020

Another happy anniversary to MLP! This time to the series finale of the show, The Last Problem. Seems to me that while the story of the Mane Six has come to an end, the future is just the beginning for Equestria's next generation. Once again, though I haven't watched the entirety of the show, I'm glad that I got to experience it when I gave it shot and I'm still thankful for all of its lessons about friendship and life. As a bonus, here's a preview to a chapter of my post-MLP story. I hope you all enjoy what happens next!

The picturesque scenery would have been magnificent to look at... if not for the flailing form of an Earth pony stallion falling almost a thousand feet above the sky.

Said stallion screaming his lungs out had a yellow coat that was mostly hidden underneath a white lab coat and black facial hair on his face. He had thick eyebrows and a beard surrounding his muzzle. The most intriguing thing about this stallion was that he had a large capital "N" tattooed on his forehead and there was a lack of a cutie mark on his flanks. His name was Professor Neapolitan Core-Tech, and he had just been recently defeated by the combined forces of the Council of Friendship consisting of Princess Twilight Sparkle, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rarity, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash and Spike the Dragon, and a pygmy griffon going by the name of Griffelonious von Masterton III (Griff for short), who was supposed to be his greatest achievement in world domination. Core-Tech plotted to take over Equestria using science to combat and overthrow magic, but his first experiment with Griff went awry and he had the griffon subspecies fired all the way to Ponyville, where he met the Council of Friendship and explained everything to them after they brought Luster Dawn to Ponyville to help her see the Magic of Friendship. Griff and the Council teamed up and headed across West Equestria's borders and fought against Core-Tech's forces before confronting the evil scientist himself. After a lengthy battle in the sky, our heroes managed to defeat Core-Tech and sent him plummeting to his doom, which leads us to the beginning.

After wailing in terror for about another minute, Core-Tech crashed into the base of what was formerly his castle and base of operations, leaving an imprinted hole of himself behind. Even though a fall like that should have killed somecreature, due to circumstances beyond even the most brilliant minds of Equestria's comprehension, the wicked pony scientist managed to survive the fall, albeit disoriented and hurting like the dickens. Core-Tech had found himself inside a dark cavern where no light could be seen. He shook his head to rid himself of the ringing inside his skull and glanced around the hard-to-see space before he took out a matchbox from his coat pocket and lit one of the matches for illumination. Holding the match between his teeth, he looked around to see nothing but dirt, rock walls, and a puddle of water in front of his hooves until something caught his attention. What he saw in front of him had him laughing evilly with glee and anticipation. This could be the very thing that could help him get even with his failed experiment and Equestria's former protectors; maybe even so much more! In front of Core-Tech was a shiny crystal that had a rainbow gleam when the match's light illuminated against its surface.

"Crystals," Core-Tech muttered. "I should've guessed!"

Unfortunately, he lost hold of the match and it fell into the puddle in the cave, extinguishing the light and leaving Core-Tech alone in the dark once more.

"D'OH!"

Time flies for a lot of things, franchises included. Thoughts about the story preview?
