A Post Long In The Making (Or: Fate of Alive, Not Alive) · 5:26am Oct 24th, 2020
Heyo, peeps and readers. I hope you're all doing alright during this global pandemic and chaotic time we're all in. Just to let you know, the reason why I don't say much on here in the way of blogs is that I usually don't have much to say unless it's important. Though what I'm going to say is important, I'm making an effort to communicate more frequently. With all that said, let's get right to it.
As you can tell from the title of this blog, it concerns my story, 'Alive, Not Alive'. I had originally wrote two chapters for it and had not updated it in ages. Well, it's for two reasons:
1. General lack of interest. I have been focusing on new ideas that seem to get my attention more than continuing work on it.
2. Since the last time I updated that story, I grew up... or rather, my writing has, tone and quality. It was written at a time where my writing was less, shall we say, refined. I was a newbie then but I have evolved since that time and I have no real connection to it.
With that said, I'm stuck between deciding on what to do with it:
1. Cancel it and reboot it.
2. Keep on writing it.
I honestly feel like I'm at a crossroads here. With that, I want to know your opinion on what should be done. If I do a reboot, I do have a plan that would still incorporate many of the ideas I had envisioned for the story. If keep on going, I too have a plan for that. Let me know what you think.
Keep on reading!

Every story must be told.
I suggest that you cancel it then reboot it. I say this because as you said your writing has changed so it might not fit as smoothly as before unless you edit the first 2 to fit better and it gives you a clean slate to work off of and you don't have to work on keeping people interested and get new people to read it. instead, you can focus on getting new people to read it.

And it will be, one way or another.

My gut feeling is leaning towards that.
