Fimfiction on Subscribestar · 8:08pm May 14th, 2021
Hello.
I don't usually comment on the site or anything other than my own writing really, but I just thought you should know that as a result of reporting, Fimfiction has been forced to migrate over to Subscribestar.
This site has been a massive part of my life. I've made numerous, lifelong friends here and have the site to thanks for allowing me to improve my skills as a writer. I will be subscribing to a gold membership when I get paid on the 28th and begin the first payment of an immeasurable debt I owe to this site and everyone on it. If anyone can give anything, even a buck, it'd go a long way to showcasing your appreciation to the site and contribute to its continued life.
Thank you for reading.
Yeah. Even bronze will count. Every little bit helps.
If Fimfiction falls into shadow. Where else can I go for some sweet human x pony love stories?

Fimfetch should have most stories archived

I believe fimfetch stopped archiving stories 3 years ago.
You can, however, find archives on reddit.
Link in question.

Indeed. Backsups.
Also archiveofourown is a good place to back stuff up too. Although it isn't an archive site.

Actually FimFetch are still doing archives pretty much
The whole site is still there with some stuff from last year and a couple months too
RISE UP!

FimFetch has had archives of my stories from 2018+ onward, so is that really the case? Or has the archiving just become inconsistent?

It appears I was incorrect. Apologies.
5518723
It’s ok

NOT THROWING AWAY MY SHOT

If I heard right, it archives things at intervals, though if you can find someone who knows it better they’d likely know how long those intervals are.

IIRC, its last update was in January 2018, its social media accounts last updated sometime in October 2019, and its archival systems started going wonky sometime in late-2019/early-2020. It still archives stories eventually, but it's a total crapshoot when it'll happen and if it actually archives the text itself.
I still use it sometimes. It's pretty convenient for fandom cratedigging, y'know what I mean?

I’ve used it to casually keep track of deleted stories and pick up a few that I liked via download options there, so yeah.
Is there any reason they haven’t been in working order for some time?
5518875
No idea. Maybe some kind of "integer overflow" or whatnot threw its automated systems out of whack?

I’m pretty sure that the owner is a user on here, and if I had any idea what their username is, I’d bug them for an answer.
