Let's go for very gentle ponies, but the 'problem' is there about the size of a shire horse on average in this alternate universe. Now, factor in that a pony like Princess Celestia would be even larger here since the average pony is the size of a shire horse.
Your average sized human meets these ponies. They are friendly, just very big.
How would you describe the size difference in proportions between the human and these super ponies? Without outright saying shire horse. (by the human's prospective might be quite good as well)
A shire horse are about 17 hands high (or six feet), and about eight feet in girth. Also put into consideration, these are MLP FIM Ponies so they may be comically even larger to fit their huge eyes. Along with horns, or wings. Or both if they are an alicorn. Remember, alicorns are even more insane in size, since a shire horse is considered normal size.
Considering that Celestia is at least twice as tall as the average pony, I'd estimate her height for that alt. reality to be at least 12 feet tall, maybe a little taller.

You could use cube law for that. The scientific principle that states if you increase something's size by a factor of 2, you increase its mass by a factor of 4. Of course that only covers the actual mass and not its surface area. I guess depending on how girthy you wanna make her, she could be somewhere in the neighborhood of 2-3 times the circumference of a pony, unless alicorn physiology causes her to have a much higher metabolism(which would explain the eating of high calorie foods all the time), then her circumference could be lower, of course alicorn physiology could completely defy all known law of physics, then she could have dumps like a truck-truck-truck! Thighs like what-what-what! Baby move you rump-rump-rump! All night long! Let me see that tttthhhoooo-ooooo-oooooo-oooonnnnnng!

If you ever seen the worlds biggest horse is there like 8 to 9 feet tall naturally so we’re trying to go for a super ponies you could make normal ponies the size of zebras so round 4 to 5 feet tall You can make the unusually tall ponies in their world the size of giant horses so 8 to 9 and then you can make the Alicorns Elephant size are about 10 to 12 feet tall just not as fat OR You can double all these numbers and just go crazy with it

Considering that Shire horse's weight can be 2000 pounds(or 900 kilograms for those who prefer the Devil's calculus. Just a joke for any European bronies reading, please don't lynch me.) Then it would be safe to say that she would, if going by cube law, she would weigh somewhere in the neighborhood of 8000 pounds(or roughly 3628-ish kilograms). So unless she used her wings to keep herself partially airborne or used some sort of weight displacement spell, then it would be death by snu-snu if she were on top. Your average human would suffer death by snu-snu from your average pony if they were on top. To survive a single session of a pony just sitting on their lap, the human would have to have Wolverine's adamantium skeleton and healing factor, or Superman's Kryptonian physiology, or the Six Million Dollar Man's bionic enhancements.
Anon, after living years in Equestria, he finally gives into sexual frustration and has sex with a mare, only to have half of his bones crushed. If pony is big, Anon has to look up to meet the pony's eyes. If pony is small, Anon has to look down.
If pony is big but not much taller than Anon, just compare them to a horse.
If pony is VERY big, Anon has to crane his neck.

Rule of KISS always applies where Anon is concerned. But anchoring things such as scale to actions a character has to take to REACT to those things is a good way to establish something outside of "Anon stared at the big horse."
"If I took that dumb necklace thing off you, would it hurt?"
Celestia hums, giving her peytral an idle glance, then pinning Anon to the ground with a gaze as distant as the heavens.
"It would be very painful," she says after a long moment.
Anon frowns up at the god-like horse, craning his neck back so far he has to take a step backward to keep from toppling over.
"You're a big mare," he replies.
Celestia leans down to Anon's eye level, her neck long and graceful as a swan. Her brilliant eyes meet his. There's some emotion there, twinkling and bemused, locked behind those great violet eyes.
"For you."
Anon's eyes boggle.
"Sunbutt, did you just fucking banepost at me?"
Celestia lets out an undignified snort at his expression, sending his hair billowing as though in the midst of a windstorm. She smiles, and then giggles, and then prances in place, sending the great booms of her hooves echoing around the great hall to match her sudden gales of laughter.
