I think I'm going to get rid of Odium now. I know that some people like him, but now I'm starting to see why there are others who don't.
It's not his characterization or his backstory or design, but maybe his role in the story and his passive, instead of active, writing. I could be wrong, but now I know what the other side might be talking about.
Despite me giving him strengths, flaws, a great, or at least decent, backstory, and other things that I thought would make him a great character, I guess I didn't realize the things he was missing all along: Nuance and Interest. Something that would give the audience/readers/viewers a good reason to care about him.
I may not know how to give my characters that, but now I know what I need to watch out for when creating them.
Sorry if I'm getting too preachy, guilt-tripping, or trying to make anyone seem like the bad guy, though.
I've already asked someone from the wiki he's in to delete his wiki page and I'm still waiting for a response.

I like him because he was an innocent soul who fought for justice. You shouldn't delete a great oc just because some people don't like him.
