Paw Patrol: The Movie Review · 8:20pm Aug 24th, 2021
So I finally got around to seeing the Paw Patrol movie in theatres. It was just as mediocre as I expected. If you’re as deprived as I am when it comes to good movies to watch, there will be spoilers below.
The plot was super predictable, the pups get out there and try to save the day from the chaos plaguing Adventure City. They then try to force this lame story arc with Chase having a troubled past in the city, but it’s played out and ruined by the movie's short screen time.
The animation is okay, but the voice acting is kind of a mixed bag. They were hyping up some characters like the Tyler Perry and Kim Kardashian characters, and they ended up only having something like two minutes of screen time.
The new pup, Liberty, is pretty funny, but she’s kind of played out and her fate in the movie is strangely ambiguous. Like, the movie ends with her joining the Paw Patrol, but like, we can see she lives in an alleyway with a newspaper for a bed, a puddle for a mirror, and begging strangers for food. Does she just go back to doing that afterwards? It’s pretty strange.
Also, outside of Ryder and the pups and Mayor Humdinger, hardly any characters from Adventure Bay appear in the movie to give us a break from this pup-infested city of mediocrity!
Anyways, I still think the movie was okay. That’s just a quick little review of mine.
