Christmas Story Rose Flashback: Necessary Changes · 3:32am Sep 18th, 2021

Hello everyone.

I've been doing some thinking lately, and I've come to the conclusion that there were certain visual details in the confession flashback that, in good conscience, should have been left out from the start.

This, in all honesty, circles back to a core reason that the story was written from the start. I've had a particular pet-peeve with writers who place their focus on..........less-than-reputable material. I needed to vent out some frustration with that sort of writing, and this seemed like the best means to speak out against it at the time.

Unfortunately, in the process, I went overboard with it. I got too detailed with the tone of the flashback, which inadvertently created an opening for spiritual scandal for a would-be reader. This was never my intention.

I have dialed back on the visuals and adjusted the dialogue to reduce this risk.

Please forgive me for what I've done.
