Happy New Year guys.
Ok, so. Now that comms are finally done, I'm guessing that people are waiting to see when I'm opening them up again.
It's still weird to me, knowing there's a demand for what I'm doing.
So before we get to all that, lemmie just address some stuff.
Because I wrote a 60k word fic for FUN over the course of this year and my brain just went dead for two weeks after posting it all. And yet. I wanna do it again in 2022. Hell, other people want me to do it again for 2022.
I wanna write more Fluttershy's Desires chapters, I wanna write more one-off stories, I wanna write some 2nd person romances, I wanna write stuff with my OCs, I wanna write weird crackships.
That being said, I know that people still want to pay me money to write things specifically for them, and I feel bad that I'm always so busy with a lot of other things that I don't get to do a lot of other things I want to do.
I'm going to be raising the price rate of my commissions.
I've had it stay the same for the past 5 years, and I really think it's time for a change.
My new rate is going to change from 10 USD per 1000 words to 15 USD per 1000 words.
If someone wants to pay me to get some writing done, I want to be properly motivated enough to do it fast and well. And I don't want to just let a list grow to the point where it's taking over half a year for me to even get started because I'm busy juggling life and work and writing.
So, I'm thinking of changing how I take them too.
My idea is just to make a submission form just so I can sort out which ones I'd like to take on. That way it doesn't screw people over in other timezones if I do the "first come first served" method.
I take on a few, get 'em done, then open up the form again, all while working on my own stuff.
That's the idea, at least. Putting it into practice is another thing. But we'll burn those bridges once we get to crossing them.
I'll aim for testing how it all works on February, there's a lot of ideas in my head I wanna try to get out first.
Now, onto the NCN stuff.
I want to make it a little more like Frist's version, and have people have some sway over how the story goes.
But I'm not fast enough to write like that every day. So my solution is to have some forms open up early. One to decide which characters participate, and another later to decide which characters will make it to the end.
I'm still working out the kinks of how to organize this, but that's the plan of what I wanna do, and I hope that there's enough people that want to help shape the story.
