5I just learned one of my homeless trans addicted sex worker friends died of overdose 7 months ago. Talk about the odds stacked against you. Several years ago I tried to help her out with having a place to stay and get clean and it lasted for a bit but between our shit legal system and our shit mental health system and our shit economic system it wasn't enough.
If you need someone and something to fight for, fight for the ones who didn't make it and the ones who still can. Rest in power Andrea Evans. I fight on in your honor now, comrade. <3
May she rest in peace, in whatever afterlife she believed in....
where can one donate in order to help out those she left behind? And to prevent similar deaths?

Look up research and support safe injection sites, support progressive mental Health and drug legality initiatives in the us. If you want more specifics I can try to find you some articles and videos or podcast depending on what forms of information conveyance you prefer

I worry this will happen to you someday with how little you seem to care for yourself.
I'm not sure I agree that drug overdoses are necessarily preventable through legalization unless that legalization also comes with restricted intake through government control over dosages. Drug use is often hoof in hoof with suicidality, as it is.
That said, I'm sorry to hear about this and hope the best for her family and your coping.

I appreciate your concern but I don't touch opioids and won't ever touch them unless they are prescribed because I'm in immense agony which obviously I hope never happens.
And ask for other drugs, in studying myself I've discovered the same reason I can't get myself to do anything is the same reason I also can't get addicted to stuff outside of in the moment. So that's cool.

Good to hear.
I'm on opioids and don't recommend them (kratom is the least addictive and dangerous, if you have to, but it's not much pain relief). But my major medical problems are apparently unrelated. I used to think it was the opioids causing half my symptoms but it's most likely whatever is wrong with my body naturally causing almost everything. Getting a CT on Wednesday, woo.
