WELP. You all know of that incredilong fic I'd been writing. The one that's about 700k+ words long. Well, guess what? Some asshole came onto my account, and deleted all of it. So, I have absolutely NO drive to redo it. That was a total of about a years worth of work. I guess I might as well tell you what it was. You all know that story, "My Little Unicorn, Magic is Believing" right? If not, click the hyperlink I put there. That story is undeniably horrible. Character development is damn near non-existent, characters themselves are flat and boring, plot line is rushed at times, and slow as fuck at others. It was shit. However, I saw the potential in it. I saw how it could have been rewritten to be something that could probably match the works of those like SS&E's End of Ponies, or maybe Fallout:Equestria, or other such greater fics. If Dakari King Mykan had actually put more work and effort into the characters personalities and their development, the plot line's pace, and other such things, he could have written one of the greater fics out there.
I saw this potential. I decided to try and rewrite this fic to make it better. As it turns out, it's a much more daunting task then it seems. Those 700k words that made up the first part I had mentioned? That's the first 10 chapters of the FIRST fic in this series. Oh yeah. I was really invested in this. I wanted to make this better. I had the intention of showing the revamped version to Mykan and seeing his reactions. Then asking him if he minded if I posted this on another website, with credit to the original for him. Needless to say, I've abandoned this task. Anyway, I'll probably be more involved in fics around here, and updating my own fic that's already released.

In all seriousness, you have my condolences. It must be hard to see all that hard work go down the drain, but you should have thought to back it up. You don't know how many times I've had my digital work corrupt on me. You always gotta have an extra copy, especially if it's... say... a fucking 700,000+ story you've poured your soul into. Ya know. Those kinds of things.
Anywho, I've just gotten done with my schooling for a bit so I'm set to edit whenever (at least for a while). I'll probably be hooked up to a computer 24/7 and writing after I'm done partying my ass off. This semester has been stressful.

You can talk to knighty about it. You had a lot done before the website upgrade right? Well he made a backup of the entire site before transferring everything over to the new site in case he had to roll back the server to save the site. Ask him if he can give you a copy of the story before the website was upgraded. Just tell him the story name and what happened. He should help you.
