EFNW Retrospective: From soft fur ears to Iron Author · 3:18am Aug 30th, 2022
Hi new friend!
Everfree NW was a blast this year, and my only complaint is that it went by too fast 
After a rather long stretch of writers' block, I won 3rd at the Iron Author speedwriting competition! 
Congrats to FoME and MasterThief for winning 2nd and 1st respectively! Their stories were awesome too! Scampy, Steady Gaze, and Admiral Biscuit also recieved honorable mentions!
My panel on villain reformation went great (if a little chaotic, as any villain panel should be...)! I thought the panel ended at 2pm, not 1:45pm, so I ended up pacing myself too slowly and had to rush near the end! But lots of people attended and everyone was so engaged and supportive! I hope to do it again next year!
While I may have won 3rd at Iron Author, I had a lot of firsts at this convention. On a more personal level, after years of fear I finally got the courage to dress in some more cute feminine outfits I love (no photos, sorry--I'm shy

I wore makeup for the first time in public (at the gala)! Winged eyeliner on Asian eyelids is always tricky, and I received a number of compliments so I presume I didn't screw it up too badly...! 
Rarity would be proud! 
And after a few months of practice, I can actually say that I'm a guy that can do eyeliner better than my mom.

I went on Amazon for most of my clothes (with fashion tips from my mom). Modakawa has more kawaii-focused outfits but they are in Asian (female) sizes, they're on the pricey side, and they take many weeks to deliver (they are an AliExpress reseller that ships from China).
