At the request of Dr. Quest Colton, the following data logs and observation notes have been compiled about the case study surrounding Subject 1 and the highly infectious anomoly that now plagues ponies in the hundreds. It is the doctor's hope that these files will eventually help us find a cure before all of Equestria suffers this horrific end. Subjects 2, 3, 4, and 5 are also presenting troubling afflictions and will be recieving case studies of their own. Princess Twilight's sudden death could not have come at a worse time for us all.

Queen Chrysalis has infiltrated Canterlot along with many other changelings, and are poised to strike

In another realm, far, far away, an ancient evil, a Necromancer known only as Death, would be finally struck down, with seemingly no hope for returning back to life.

It’s been a long while since I’ve written a new story, and I’m unsure if I’ll finish this story before I run out of motivation, but I’m going to try my best. This is a rewrite of one of my oldest and, I feel, worse stories, and I wish to show off the improved writing skills I have. Hope you all enjoy.

I used to be so so Joyful, once upon a time. Then the sky started falling, and the people started dying, and I wept. I wept as all I knew had died around me, and I was left alone. I wandered for a time, before finding sanctuary. An abyss. An endless black abyss. I let myself fall into the darkness, let myself be swallowed by it.

When I finally emerged from that darkness, I found myself in a new world...full of life...and I tried so very hard to fit in. I tried to ignore the hurtful words, the screams at my approach. I tried to ignore the attacks flung at me, the fire, the stones. I tried to use reason...but they saw a monster, and only a monster. At first I saw no positives, until I examined further. The species, once divided, united at my approach. My purpose in this world was made clear...I was not to find comfort, I was merely a tool. A rallying cry, 'protect your children, for the monster of rust has come!'.

I am Evil, and that is okay.

David is bored. His life had grown samey, his daily routine a never-changing cycle, and due to his studies, he has no time for change.

And yet, the unexpected has a tendency to rear its head. In this occurrence, it took the form of a -somewhat illogical- trip between dimensions. Following another boring day, David had woken up, not in his home, but in a faraway land, filled with strange creatures who call themselves “Ponies”.

And wait a minute, why does he have yellow wings?

This story takes place after The Last Problem, and as a result, Diamond Tiara, the Cutie Mark Crusaders, and all other characters that appear in this story are grown adults.

Ever since taking over the Rich family business, Diamond Tiara has been working hard to use her status for the betterment of everypony. She's come a long way from the stuck-up snob she was as a foal, but her family's reputation can't be forgotten quite as easily. No matter how much she tries to give back to the community, she will always be a Rich. For better or for worse.

Perhaps this is why her friends are suspicious of her new boyfriend.

And perhaps it's why she likes him in the first place.

Following her defeat, Opaline Arcana was consumed by her Together Tree. She knows not how long she was in there, but finally, everything has gone cold. For a fire alicorn, this can mean only one thing:

She has died.

And someone is waiting for her on the other side.

It was nearly one thousand years ago that Opaline Arcana defeated Princess Twilight Sparkle and her friends. Her plan had succeeded, and the three ponykinds were split, their bonds broken. However, the ordeal left Opaline drained of her magic. If she revealed herself too soon, everything would have been for naught. She had a castle, but she couldn't leave.

While she still had her followers, there was one major issue: She is immortal, and they were not. Thus, she was eventually the only one left, and she required an assistant. Unfortunately, enchantments will only get a pony so far, and wild creatures aren't exactly reliable. While a young unicorn mare named Misty Brightdawn would come to her a few years before she would finally get her chance to return to the public eye, there were hundreds of years where very little happened.

However, about sixty of those years are an exception. Those were the years that she found herself with something she never expected.

A companion. A human companion.

Opaline Arcana has sowed dissent and anger across Equestria. With the nation divided, Princess Twilight Sparkle and her friends are struggling to contain the ambitious alicorn. If something isn't done soon, Twilight will have no choice but to store Equestria's magic into the Unity Crystals, putting all of ponykind at risk.

Before that, though, Twilight has an idea. There's a prisoner locked away in Tartarus that was forgotten by history. He might be just what they need to stop Opaline. However, letting him loose could spell disaster for Equestria.

It's a risk she has to take.

Anonymous, asshole extraordinaire and a rotten egg by all accounts, has fallen on good times after being made a commander of the Storm King's vast armies. With the King's forces and equipment at his fingers, he's found great success conquering nations, sowing chaos, and kicking the asses of all walks of life. All while having a rip-roaring great time doing it.
But the day of the Storm King's biggest conquest to date - the nation of Equestria - looms just around the corner. All that's left now is the final few preparations for the invasion: loose ends to tie up, new weapons to seize, and even some co-commanders to annoy to no end. And once those are complete, Anon will be the first in line to take Equestria as his next conquest.
God help us all.

This isn't the first horse story I've written, but it is the first one that is prose instead of greentext. And I'm still a bit rusty on top of all that. Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated!
