Set fifteen years after the second Equestria Girls film, Solar Shimmer journeys to Equestria to be taught magic by Princess Twilight Sparkle. At first, she is avoided for being destructive with her magic and for her lack of a cutie mark. However, during her time there, she develops a friendship with four ponies who are all misfits in their own way.

Of course, nothing stays happy forever. To break a period of peace throughout Equestria, Nightmare Moon returns, followed by a massive army of cultists lead by a vicious pony named Nighttime Glow. To make matters worse, Nighttime Glow turns herself into the most powerful reincarnation of Nightmare Moon, ever!

After the events of Rainbow Rocks, Sunset Shimmer sits on a park bench, wallowing about her homesickness and how she is afraid to return to Equestria and confront her past. However, her self-pity is soon disrupted as Trixie comes along, wishing to learn real magic. In the process, the two make up over their confrontation during the Battle of the Bands.

After a long hard day of friendship lessons Twilight settles down with Spike to look through her old photo album. Starlight's reaction to one of the photos brings a shocking secret to light. Starlight is a mother, and she does not know to whom.

Twilight and her friends now want to help Starlight find her long lost foal, while trying to puzzle out just how a mother could not know her own foal. Starlight meanwhile is trying to decide whether to bury the past, or drag it all up once again. Both will be painful, but the question remains. Which one would hurt the least, for all involved?

Several truths are revealed, and motivations are uncovered. When everything is laid bare how will everyone react? Will Starlight's life be turned upside down, even in this time of change for the former villain?

Be it fate or destiny, two people managed to find each other. One, a man who is the last of his kind and the other, a girl whose true nature is different from those that surround her. Both believing that they are alone, finds each other giving each other the love and support both need.

It has been several weeks since the truth about Anon a miss has come to light, and a week since school started back up. Everything seems to have gone mostly back to normal other than a few things, yet something seems to be missing. Everyone is worried about Sunset Shimmer, the girl who was blamed for the whole thing prior to the holidays as she hasn't been seen since the real culprits came forward and accepted responsibility for their actions. She hasn't been seen since the night three young girls admitted that they were the cause of all the pain and turmoil the fiery haired girl suffered through during the holiday season.

A new year brings new changes though as not one, but two new teachers are starting along with a transfer student. Rumors claim the teachers are married and that the student is their daughter, but nobody is for certain as rumors fly back and forth until she appears. The school's newest literature teacher, a woman who can't be more than twenty five looking like an older version of Sunset Shimmer. Is she just their world's version of Sunset Shimmer, or is there something else going on? And why does the transfer student seem to hold a grudge against Sunset's friends despite never meeting?

Starlight Glimmer had a painful fall, but she is more than determined to finish what she started. The message of Equality needs to spread across Equestria, and she knows just the mares who can help her...no matter how many years it takes.

But she soon finds out that raising six fillies that still represent the Elements of Harmony is easier said than done.

Pinkie Pie really should have known better, some folks who could see were startled something fierce by her welcome wagon. That poor little filly had no idea what hit her.

And now she has to live with it.

The Cutie Mark Crusaders find themselves inspired to go back in time and witness the moments in which their friends got their cutie marks for themselves - believing that seeing them will help them far more than simply hearing about them will. But considering the fact that seemingly everything the three fillies touch turns to catastrophe, what exactly would happen if they were to achieve this? Could we be on the precipice of a present-changing disaster?

Twilight cast a spell and got herself turned into a filly. Luna has tricked Celestia into believing there is no cure, and now as Luna tries to 'find a cure' Celestia has to look after Twilight the Alicorn; filly version. And heaven knows Alicorns are not born often for a reason.
