The changelings are banished, the day is saved! Yet a victory for one must be a defeat for another, and this particular victory has left one changeling stranded in Canterlot, alone and broken. A certain pink party pony is also alone in the Canterlot night, hiding her depression from her friends. She cannot, however, hide her feelings from a changeling. What will become of this unlikely pair?

Author's Note: I haven't written for a looong time, and this story has been sitting in my drafts since 2021. I pretty much completely forgot about it, and I don't particularly intend to finish it, but I do like the setup I'd created and figure it would be better to publish it as incomplete than let it be unviewable. So here it is!

Chrysalis is banished, hoping to put down new roots outside Equestria. But when she discovers an ancient kingdom, her past comes into focus. Meanwhile two changelings conspire against her leadership, but their motives change as the situation evolves.

It isn't always easy putting up with family. Some of them are embarrassing, some try to tell you how to run your life, and some try to invade the capital city of Equestria. Queen Chrysalis may be gone, but for the owner and employees of the Metamorphosis spa and massage parlor, their work has just begun.

In the meantime, Chrysalis is in for a lot of angry letters...

The Great War draws towards it's end.

The forces of the United Ponies Alliance advance on the Changeling heartland.

Before them stands the great Hive City of Vraks, the main producer of almost all war material which fuels the Queens Heer. Vrakian Changelings, renowned for their stubbornness and warlike nature, are unlikely to give up their hive without a drawn out fight.

Hoping to solve both problems, the Equestrian Royal Air Force decides to undertake the largest bombing raid of the entire war. Hundreds of aircraft whose sole mission is to wipe Hive Vraks off the map. Under cover of cloud and darkness, they'll drop thousands of tons of explosives and incendiary devices on the war forge of the Queendom.

One Equestrian soldier gets to watch this raid first hoof.

The purpose of the following is explicit enough to understand – why the Republic of Bakara gifted itself a powerful navy - and why the Eastern Changelings possess one beyond their own quite lackluster technological capabilities?

Without further rambling, let us begin. Luna needs to acquaint herself with that... well... splendiferous world.

Prince Blueblood. Last of his Noble line. Canterlot's most eligible bachelor. Aristocratic, affluent, and arrogant. But, surprisingly enough, a stallion who knows what is truly important in life: Family.

A bat pony shows Twilight a hidden world - she only needs to listen.

This story was written in just over an hour, and took first place in a Quills and Sofas speedwriting competition.

In high Canterlot, there is a pony who is a Prince, but not an alicorn. His friends are what his wealth and splendor can buy. His pride is his name: Blueblood. His vanity and arrogance knows no bounds, his aunt has no idea what to do with him, and his bubble of power and prestige remains secure.

But before that, he was just a very small pony in a very big house, with much life still not lived. This is the story of those days, and all that came after.

Chrysalis failed to embody the princess of love and control a good part of Equestria, and during her revenge monologue, she finds a little pony with a cruel story that even the queen could not believe.
