Celestia and Luna are all too familiar with the concept. It's a concept that has molded them, strengthened them... and in a few tragic cases, betrayed them.

When they are willing to give up everything to save those they hold most dear, what might be left could be just the thing that winds up destroying the sisters in the end.

Equestria: The shining beacon of peace and harmony in a world torn by war. The citizens are safe and secure within the borders.

However, a darkness is coming. Sunset Shimmer, daughter of Celestia, fears the return of the goddess of the night herself: Nightmare Moon. A mare who wishes nothing more than the destruction of everything good. Sunset will do anything to stop her.....

Luna works tirelessly to create lovely nights for Equestria, but even after she came back from the moon, she finds that they still don't appreciate the night as much as she would like, and protecting their dreams is a thankless job. With all these factors piling up around her, Luna regrets being "saved" from Nightmare Moon, and sets out to take revenge.

Where did Celestia disappear to, the night of the 1,000th summer sun celebration?

Why didn't Nightmare Moon simply kill the mane six?

What was The Nightmare willing to do in its hatred, and The Princess willing to do for her beloved little ponies?

This is that fateful night, but told from perspectives we haven't seen.

Alternate Universe: Instead of Twilight Sparkle, Princess Celestia made Rainbow Dash her personal student instead! Follow her through the events of the 1,000th Summer Sun Celebration. A reimagining of "Friendship is Magic"

Two decades after the banishment of Nightmare Moon, her shadow still lingers. Princess Celestia has been left to tend the Twin Thrones alone and protect us all from those who would see Equestria crumble. Our enemies take many forms: some would tear the world down with their claws, others with their smiles. They are monsters all the same.

I have had many names, and I have been many things. Today I am Swift Sweep, and I work for the Equestrian Bureau for State Security.

Jacob Malcolm, a nine year old boy, and his mother, get a huge surprise when heading home on a dark and stormy night. Four girls who claim to be the Cutie Mark Crusaders from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. But the forth girl was actually Nyx from Pen Stroke's Past Sin, a My Little Pony fan fiction. They were surprised to find out that four fictional characters had became a reality.

But they had to keep the people of the world from knowing that they're from a world where their life is a TV show. Of course, they're going to have stay with Jacob and his mom for a while until they can get back home.

This story takes place after the series ended, but the story of the Cutie Mark Crusaders takes place after the four girls fell asleep at the sleepover in Chapter 9 of Past Sins. This is an alternate ending to Past Sins. I hope you all enjoy this.

Princess Celestia: Goddess of the Sun, ruler of Equestria, beloved Princess of ponies. She is loved by all, and loves all in return. A calm and wise ruler, she sits on the throne in Canterlot, maintaining peace and harmony throughout the land.

What most don't know is that her past is much darker: She was once a commander of legions, a warrior and scientist of unmatched skill. Thousands of monsters and abominations fell to her forces, slain in the name of an old leader, one entombed within his own throne. Free of her old form, free of the powers of Chaos, she was cast into a new realm, in a new form, with a new lease on life.

She is the God Emperor, Eternal Ruler of Equestria and Lord of the Imperium of Man.

For years Nightmare Moon was considered "nothing but an old pony tale," but what did those tales actually say about her? See Luna, Celestia, and Discord as viewed through pony myths and legends.

Nightmare Moon won. She defeated Celestia, broke the Elements, banished the sun. This all happened a very long time ago. So long ago, that she has had plenty of time to change her mind.

Of course, fixing our mistakes is never so simple, and never without consequences. Even with particularly potent help.
