Celestia has someone in mind, she just needs to fire Luna first.

As Chrysalis holds her wife one night, Twilight just can't seem to doze off. The semi-newlyweds have cuddled their way into dreams many times but tonight, Twilight finds herself unable to rest. The alicorn dwells on a mare who held her like this before, when she was only a filly, chasing away the nightmares when her parents weren't around. She can still remember her sweet, sad singing- but what was that tune again...?

Princess Luna's Hearth's Warming Eve went terribly. Full of flattery, last minute gifts, and an obligation to open a party for the Royal Guard, Luna just wants to lay back down in bed. However, the main event of the party is Vinyl Scratch, and the DJ wants to make sure that everypony has a good time. That includes Princess Luna.

Can Vinyl rekindle Princess Luna's holiday spirit? Or will the holiday turn into a nightmare?

Once-Queen Chrysalis has had her schemes blow up in her face yet again. Naively, she thought, this time would be different. Take their power for her own, and it would be a simple matter to enact her revenge. She did not expect to end her scheme crippled, starving, and in the hooves of the pests that ruined her life.

Twilight and her friends have had a rough day. An argument during their trip through the woods nearly had them at each others throats, but they pulled through together and laughed about it in the end. They didn't expect to end their day with them taking one of the greatest threats to Equestria into custody. And Twilight certainly didn't expect herself to be extending her hoof to another poor, lost soul, trying to help them find their way.

One morning, during breakfast, Starlight and Twilight notice Spike seems to be troubled about something. Spike tells them that he had a dream about someone he never thought about until now.

(Takes place immediately after "Luna Eclipsed", colab with yodajax10.) Another Nightmare Night has come and gone, and now Ponyville begins the process of cleaning up after it.

Spike offers to help out, but Twilight reassures him that they can handle things on their own. So, reluctantly, the baby dragon decides to spend a little time with Princess Luna, who has just come out of her shell.

But what can the two talk about? Quite a lot, actually. And both will come to realize, they have something in common.
