Pinkie loves to look at the sky and wishes more than anything to be up there, feeling the wind rush by her. She then has a brilliant idea to make her own means of getting in the air.

On a dark night filled with even darker magics, an insane cult attempts to give Nightmare Moon a body and life of her own, utterly separate from Princess Luna. But, when the spell is interrupted by Celestia, something unexpected is created.

Now, a little black alicorn filly named Nyx finds herself living under the care of Twilight Sparkle, only to be haunted by memories and emotions from her past. Is she Nightmare Moon reborn or is she simply a doppelganger with a soul and mind of her own? Can Twilight Sparkle protect Nyx from those who refuse to see past her dragon eyes and black coat?

Or, will Nyx be forced to inherit the sins that may not even be hers and become the greatest evil Equestria has ever known?

Princess Luna's fall a thousand years ago was a catastrophic event. Most of the history about that moment has been lost to time, or intentionally erased. There is one group, however, that holds all the history of Equestria in its halls. It lies within The Shades, an ancient extremists organization that believes it has the power to change Equestria's destiny comes back to haunt the royal sisters. A colt, known as Zane Sparkspur has the innate power to read ponies' minds. He's established as Princess Luna's student and sent on a mission to save Equestria. When he discovers a new element that was used by Princess Luna herself, the fate of Equestria could change at his leisure. Apparently the Elements of Harmony aren't the only powerful magical force in the land.

Rarity learns that she has a very rare form of cancer, horn cancer, just three days before her twenty-sixth birthday. She spends her dying moments with Spike, and then, moments before her death, Spike reveals to her his greatest, and worst, secret. (Not the crush, she's always known about that.) P.S. Fancypants is a doctor in this story, and it gives explanation. Rated teen for some language.

Derpy's life is great. She is married and in love, she has a filly, she has good friends, and she loves her job. But on one fateful day, her whole life is flipped upside down and shattered. Can one little filly piece her mother back together?

This story is tied to my other story Gray Rainbow, however reading it is not required. This story explains what happened to Derpy's husband after Gray Rainbow hinted at a tragic event that happened with Derpy's husband.

Today is the day that the young filly Derpy Hooves will find her destiny and the day that it will find her. She will face trials she was never prepared for and learn lesson no pony should ever have to learn. Will she be able to rise to the occasion? We must hope so.
