Despite all the ugly complications and drama of high school, things have gone pretty well for Cloud Kicker. Sure, there was that one crazy incident where Sunset Shimmer turned into a demon. And the one with the Sirens; then Twilight turned into a demon too, and the freaky bug monsters in the sewers—and then everything that happened at Camp Everfree. The most normal thing in Cloud's life is her relationship with Rainbow Dash, and Rainbow now has magical superpowers.

That's not to say everything in Cloud's life is perfect. She's never really seen eye-to-eye with her mother, but that's hardly unusual for a teenager. At least, until a misunderstanding blows up in the worst way possible. When Cloud uncovers a shocking consequence of her relationship with Rainbow, it might be just what she needs to patch things up with her mother ... or it could tear their relationship apart completely.

As Freeport's best problem solver, Puzzle Piece finds himself helping the Magus-for-hire Sunset Shimmer with a job once again. The Sweetash family, one of the richest families in Freeport, has contacted Sunset with a new job to investigate ugly new rumors surrounding one of their rivals.

While the job seems straightforward enough, they quickly find out how a sweet deal can become sour.

On a request from Princess Celestia, Twilight Sparkle and the rest of the mane six explore an abandoned mansion located deep in the woods. While doing so, they unwittingly stumble across an enchanted mirror that scrambles their DNA and pops out three brand new bouncing baby ponies. Hilarity and drama ensue as the mane six must cope with being suddenly thrust into motherhood, as well as protect their new foals from a dark god that wishes to use them for his own sinister gain.

Sunset Shimmer, the Magus of Freeport, has always been of two minds regarding Strumming Heartstrings. However, when an old enemy leaves Strumming on death's door, Sunset will have to decide how far she's willing to go to bring her attackers to justice.

After staying away from her friends for years, Fluttershy is stunned to discover Rainbow Dash on her doorstep looking injured and asking for sanctuary in her escape from someone she won't name.
