All Ace Gambit, changeling extraordinaire, ever wanted was a nice, quiet life where he could make friends, practice magic, and perhaps even find love one day. Fate, however, had other plans involving a vicious anti-changeling conspiracy. Will Ace and his friends find a place in Equestria, or will they be forced to live as outcasts once again?

This story is set after In the Shadow of the Sun, but is intended to stand by itself.

This story is a sequel to From Equestria with Love

The brightest flame casts the darkest shadow, and many wars are won and lost in darkness far from the light of day.

It could, perhaps, be understood why Celestia chose not to pursue justice against Queen Chrysalis, or free the captive ponies the changeling hive fed on. An enemy becomes all the more dangerous when cornered, and Celestia had no desire to initiate another outbreak of hostilities when the hostages were safe, after a fashion, and a peaceful solution was still possible.

Of course, not all ponies saw things that way, and many grew impatient as time dragged on. Something had to be done to end the changeling threat once and for all.

This story is a stand-alone sequel to From Equestria With Love. It is not necessary to have read the previous story.

In another smaller Vanhoover, near the south of Equestria, lives and thrives a Changling Hive. The Hive and the Ponies, live openly with one another, and are at peace. The Hive Queen, Arlia was even the mayor for a term in Vanhoover. While this town seems quiet it hold many secrets long forgotten to many of it's citizens. As things change in Equestria they change in Vanhoover as well, now Crystal Ponies are moving to the little town, and a dragon seems to have take residence there as well.
This story follows the lives of six friends, some of whom have have dark and horrible pasts, others gritty, and then some normal. though as they grow, they learn to not only love one another, but through the power of friendship, they over come their past and learn to live happy lives.
