Rainbow Dash has always dreamed of being a wonderbolt— that's all she ever wanted. Ever since she was a little filly she could have never imagined a future without the wonderbolts.

So what happens when she gets fired from the only future she sees with absolutely no way of returning? What happens when she still can't see her future any less than being a wonderbolt the rest of her life?

Simple, it crumbles down.

And Applejack is determined to fix it.

Also, I felt compelled to write this because as a frequent visitor of the Appledash group, I noticed that the number of stories (631 by the time I'm writing this) have not gone up in awhile. So I wanted to contribute my fair share because to at the very least bump the number up.

I have always liked flying.

Ever since I first learnt how to fly, I was determined to touch the sky.

The beauty of our world during flight is hard to describe, but I'll do my best for you.

Let me tell you what it is like to fly.

Rainbow Dash has fallen in love, but she can't be with him for obvious reasons. One night she decides to take a flight around Equestria, when a special wonderbolt asks to join her.

Flight, its a strange thing. To some ponies it is cause of fear and anxiety, to others its a source of pleasure and freedom. Follow an unlikely pegasus as she tells her inspirational tale about flying.

Authors Notes: I am really not trying to go anywhere with this story, its a first attempt at a first person (or pony) story and I thought I'd share it with all of my followers, readers, and fellow writers.

This story takes place after my most recent story "Apologies", but you don't NEED to read it to know what's going on in this one.

What's it like to have wings? To live boundlessly? To have gone places none of your friends have been before? Dash reflects on her life.

After the tumultuous events of the Canterlot Wedding, Rainbow Dash goes on her nightly flight to relax. She's used to flying alone, and enjoys the solitude. This time, however, somepony accompanies her.

Takes place right after the Season Two finale.
