Princess Twilight Sparkle has died a hero, but no one knows why.

Between an ancient evil that had not even existed until she struck it down, a mysterious crystal ball that bears some unknown significance, and a set of cryptic notes and behaviors from the princess during her final days, the circumstances behind it all are murky at best and suspect at worst.

And the rabbit hole only grows deeper from there.

The Crystal Ball Trilogy is a series of stories which deal with time travel, parallel universes, and other manipulations of time and space. Feedback is the first story; it is succeeded by Substitute and Divergence.

One thousand years ago, Nightmare Moon took control of Equestria, securing eternal night and, as a side effect, turning Equestria into a haven for goths, emos, even the occasional cultist or warlock (overly happy ponies and preppies still exist, but the decriminalization of murder makes them much less of a problem). But now the Mare in the Sun, Princess Celestia, has returned and threatens to end the night and replace it with a continuous cycle of night and day, because apparently Sunbutt can't make up her mind. Can Dark Tome and his new friends these losers that are following him stop Celestia, or will she succeed in returning peace and balance to the land?

Warning: discusses topics such as homocide, suicide, sororicide, genocide, and a least 8 or 9 other -cides, all occasions of which are played for laughs.

Not everypony who crawls out of a stable can be a Littlepip or a Blackjack. Some try and fail. Some just give up after a while. Some are still alive fifteen years after they emerged, admittedly, crippled or insane, but hey, this is the wasteland. Cyborgs Anne and her brain damaged mother Lee are forced to return to the hell hole that created them in order to find out what was done to them almost two decades ago, and that means putting down their tools and picking up their guns again.

The great cloud cover has protected, but also isolated the pegasi for nearly two centuries. During this long time the Great Pegasus Enclave has stood valiant and unchallenged, its society content with the status quo save for rare exceptions.

What implications will it have on the lives of the pegasi above the clouds, when a young, earthborn mare will come to them to plead for her parents and the surface? How will the Ravenclaw Enclave respond? What will its rulers do to maintain the inner peace?
