2019. The world that Sunset Shimmer fled to years ago has now turned into a dustbowl of a wasteland. With invaders having reduced their home into nothing but rubble, Sunset Shimmer, her friends, and many others have fled Canterlot and built themselves a cooler, more mature society. They call it, Apocalypseburg. Show any weakness and you'll be eaten alive. This new life has toughened and hardened everyone... well, almost everyone.

When Fluttershy said those words, Sunset had not really believed her. Just last week, Sunset had been a tyrant, a bully. Surely the girl was just being nice. They weren't really friends.

But as her emotions rage inside, Sunset begins to wonder if, perhaps, those words meant something. Perhaps she really could go to Fluttershy for something. Something only a friend can provide...
