You guys don't happen to be aware of a three year old story about a griffon and his encounter with ponies?

(The clan was a violent bunch really, and so they saw about everything as prey. They were losing their culture at the time, an the guy kind of wanted to find out more. He was the best hunter, and then things happened and he kinda killed his entire clan)

To be completely honest. i'm looking for it because a friend requires it... I would assume it be one of the original stories, sadly I have so little to go on. 3 years old meaning that the story was last updated either late 2011 or early 2012.
