I realized something: Eobard Thawne was telling the truth about what the Particle Accelerator would do. It certainly changed the Arrowverse’s undestanding of physics, by throwing them out the window. It certainly brought about advancements in power, just not the kind of power that keeps the lights on. More like personal power, as in, what a person was capable of. Advancements in medicine is somewhat debatable, as not everyone got accelerated healing. And that future certainly came faster than anyone thought.
